Reduces condensation and mould by blowing dry attic air into the house reducing the moisture content in the air. Works best in older or well ventilated houses |
Reduces condensation and mould by circulating the air in the house (removing old air and introducing fresh air) with the added advantage of transferring the heat from the outgoing air into the incoming air |
Reduces condensation and mould by circulating air and in DRY mode dehumidifies. Also provides the most efficient form of heating available, can be used to dehumidify and for summer cooling. (Note; serious condensation problematic houses may also need a ventilation system). |
If condensation and mould is your primary concern then this is probably your best and most cost effective option for older homes.
We can install an Envirovent for $1650.00 Inc GST. |
This option will save you on heating costs and will circulate the air in your house introducing fresh cleaned outside air no matter how well closed up your house is, making it the best option for reducing condensation and allergies in your house. Also great for newer "sealed" homes.
We can install Mitsubishi Electric's Lossnay Ducted Fresh Air HRV energy recovery system for $3000. |
If you can afford it then this is probably your best option as it gives you the most efficient form of home heating available, evenly warming or cooling the whole of your home. Ducted systems are best left running 24/7 and set to automatically change the set point temperature at various times of the day. You would want to be sure your house was well insulated if considering a ducted system.
Individual Heat Pumps or "Split Systems" are a great way to provide spot heating or cooling to individual rooms and are also extremely efficient to run, however they do not provide any form of ventilation but they work even better when combined with a ventilation system. |
